Maryland Officer Diagnosed with Coronavirus

An officer with the Anne Arundel County (MD) Police Department has tested positive for the Coronavirus and is now hospitalized.

According to the Baltimore Sun , the officer—whose name has not yet been released—is the first member of the department known to have contracted COVID-19.

A police spokesperson declined to describe the officer's condition and said police do not know if the officer contracted the virus on-duty or off-duty.
