A man in Florida is suspected of having created a plot to have a Jacksonville Sheriff's deputy killed.
According to WJXT/WCWJ, the man—identified as Bobby Lorenza Taylor—is charged with solicitation to commit first-degree murder of a law enforcement officer, possession of a firearm by a felon, and armed carjacking.
According to the arrest warrant, Taylor went on social media while police were looking to arrest him on a carjacking charge. The video was about five minutes long, and in it, police said Taylor put a bounty on an officer’s life.
The warrant states that Taylor is heard off camera asking someone for the officer’s name, and the man responds with the name of a Jacksonville police officer.
Investigators said 50 Facebook users viewed the video, and that the video was shared.
Taylor appeared in court Wednesday morning and is being held at the Duval County Jail on $700,000 bond.
