Authorities with the Royal Canadian Mounted Police announced on Tuesday that the death toll in the rampage shooting in Nova Scotia has risen to 22 individuals—and may increase as they investigate various crime scenes left behind by the killer over many hours of his attacks.

According to MSN.com, RCMP continues to investigate at least the 16 crime scenes in the Atlantic province of Nova Scotia, several of which included burnt-out homes.
The youngest among those killed was reportedly 17 years old. Some of the victims were reportedly known to the assailant but others were not.
A veteran police officer, a teacher, and a nurse were among those murdered in the rampage that lasted as long as 13 hours as police tried to stop the killing spree.
An undisclosed number of other citizens were injured in the melee attack.
