An officer with the Alamo Community College Police Department in San Antonio, TX, suffered a fatal heart attack while responding to reports of a shooting late Tuesday evening.
According to San Angelo Live, the officer was in his patrol car and en route to the shots-fired call when he suffered a heart attack, lost control of the squad car, and collided with a parked vehicle.
The officer—whose name has not yet been released—was transported to a nearby hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
