An officer with the Oakland (CA) Police Department has been arrested for allegedly stalking a city employee while making harassing phone calls and threats.

An officer with the Oakland (CA) Police Department has been arrested for allegedly stalking a city employee while making harassing phone calls and threats.

According to CBS News, the agency announced on Monday that a series of investigations had been undertaken prior to the officer's arrest.

Few details about the matter have been released but that the incident stems from "a former relationship."

The unnamed officer has been placed on administrative leave.
