Wisconsin Officer Involved in Shooting During Domestic Call

An officer with the Waukesha (WI) Police Department was reportedly shot during response to a domestic abuse incident during which one man was found dead of a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

According to CBS News , police say they were called to the home of a 45-year-old man who reportedly attempted to strangle a woman while her three young children were in the home.

The suspect reportedly shot at police, hitting at least one officer. The wounded officer was transported to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The name of the gunman has not yet been released.
