A Harris County (TX) Deputy Constable is now listed in stable condition after being shot during a call for service at a domestic disturbance early Tuesday morning.
According to Fox News, deputies arrived at the second-floor apartment and confronted a man who was inside. An altercation ensued and the suspect fired at the two responding deputies, striking one in the lower abdomen.
Deputy Constable Christopher Hendrix was transported to a nearby hospital, where he underwent surgery.
SWAT officers eventually sent a robot into the residence where they discovered the suspect dead of an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.
