Wounded Tulsa Officer's Neighbors Plan to Feed His Family Through August

Neighbor Natalie Gaffney says, “The last thing they need to worry about is a meal.”

The neighbors of a wounded Tulsa, OK, police officer plan to provide meals for his family until the end of August.

Officer Aurash Zarkeshan was critically wounded in a late June shooting that killed Sgt. Craig Johnson.

The officer's family is spending a lot of time by his side and neighbors knew that could make it difficult for them to prepare meals.

Neighbor Natalie Gaffney told Fox23, “The last thing they need to worry about is a meal.”

“So being able to provide something simple -- they’re getting home almost at 8 at night and somebody is there with hot food and plates and dinner is made -- there’s one less thing they have to think about every day.”
