A man has been arrested after allegedly attempting to run over a police officer in Georgia late last week.
According to ABC News, the man—identified as Kerry Lamar Grier—was taken into custody following an investigation conducted by the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI).
The incident began with a traffic stop for an alleged window tint violation. The GBI says during the incident, Grier tried to run over Floyd County Police Lieutenant Christopher Hovers.
Grier now faces charges of possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, possession of a felony amount of marijuana, and aggravated assault on police officers.
