An off-duty officer with the Birmingham Police Department was one of six people wounded by gunfire at a motorcycle club in Ensley, AL, just before midnight Saturday. Another individual was killed in the incident.

According to WBRC-TV, officers responded to a call of shots fired at the motorcycle club and found multiple people with non-life-threatening injuries, but one man—identified as 40-year-old Naquinton Brown—fatally wounded.

A preliminary investigation suggests that an altercation happened prior to shots being fired.

The name of the off-duty officer wounded in the shooting has not yet been released.
