An officer with the Manteca (CA) Police Department is recovering from injuries sustained after a fall from a freeway overpass during a foot pursuit of a suspect.
According to the Manteca Bulletin, the foot pursuit began after a vehicle pursuit came to an end on an interstate highway just outside of Tracy (CA) on Tuesday morning.
The officer sustained facial injuries as a result of the fall and was transported to a nearby hospital where he was treated and released.
He has not yet been cleared to come back to work.
