Two officers with the Denver Police Department who fatally shot a man who lunged at them with an edged weapon early this year have been cleared of any wrongdoing.
According to the Denver Post, District attorney Beth McCann ruled on Monday that the officers' actions were justified because the subject—identified as 27-year-old Gerardo Antonio Conchas-Bustos—had already attacked people in his home and posed a threat to the officers' safety as well as the safety of others present at the scene.
