Two officers with the Denver Police Department who fatally shot a man who lunged at them with an edged weapon early this year have been cleared of any wrongdoing.
According to the Denver Post , District attorney Beth McCann ruled on Monday that the officers' actions were justified because the subject—identified as 27-year-old Gerardo Antonio Conchas-Bustos—had already attacked people in his home and posed a threat to the officers' safety as well as the safety of others present at the scene.
