An officer with the Bradenton (FL) Police Department has been fired after an investigation into social media posts was conducted following a complaint.
Chief Melanie Bevan said in a press release on the agency's website that Officer Jerard Vonador had made "several questionable posts as well as posts deemed to be in direct violation of the agency's policy regulating the use of social media" on his Facebook page.
The announcement said that Officer Vonador's Facebook account identified him as an employee of the Bradenton Police Department and that Vonador had been warned previously of inappropriate Facebook messaging.
