An officer with the Jackson Township (OH) Police Department who was dragged by a vehicle at a traffic stop has been treated and released at a local hospital.
According to WKBN-TV, the officer—whose name has not been released—suffered non-life-threatening injuries on Wednesday night as he was attempting to conduct a traffic stop on a local highway.
As the officer approached the stopped car, the driver reportedly grabbed him and began to drive away.
Jackson Township Police Chief Greg Taillon said that the officer is expected to fully recover. The identity of the suspect has not been released.
