A man has been arrested in connection with the suspected beating of an officer with the Maryland Transit Administration police officer over the weekend.
According to WTOP-Radio News, police arrested a suspect—identified as 32-year-old Shaka Admed Sekuo Kamara Jr.—following an investigation into the incident that left the officer unconscious near a subway station in Baltimore.
MTA spokeswoman Veronica Battisti confirmed Saturday morning that a suspect was taken into custody in the assault on an officer at the Upton Metro Station. The officer had been transported to a local hospital and was still recovering from non-life-threatening injuries Saturday afternoon.
