NBA hall of famer and noted law enforcement enthusiast Shaquille O'Neal has been appointed a special reserve by the St. Martin Parish Sheriff’s Office in Louisiana.
The 7-foot-1-inch former center has gone through multiple law enforcement training programs and held similar roles in or around his former NBA cities including Los Angeles, Boston and Miami, MyTwinTiers.com reports.
“Thank you for your kindness, support, and encouragement you provided to the deputies. It was very much appreciated,” the sheriff's office said. “Welcome to the St. Martin Parish Sheriff’s Office Team!”
In its 15th year of supporting the Breast Cancer Research Foundation, Streamlight donated $20,000 to help in the fight against cancer. Donations were generated through the sale of special Wedge XT models and other pink flashlights.
