Actor and Ex-Con Danny Trejo Sends Food from His Restaurant to Wounded LA County Deputies

Trejo spoke with Too Fab earlier this week about his admiration for Los Angeles County Sheriff's Deputy Claudia Apolinar, who saved her 24-year-old partner's life by applying a tourniquet after they were both shot in an ambush in Compton in September.

Actor and restaurant owner Danny Trejo, who served time in prison when he was younger, recently condemned attacks against law enforcement. He also brought food from his restaurant to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's deputies who were wounded in an ambush attack in September

Trejo spoke with Too Fab earlier this week about his admiration for Los Angeles County Sheriff's Deputy Claudia Apolinar, who saved her 24-year-old partner's life by applying a tourniquet after they were both shot in an ambush in Compton in September.

"She's badass. She's got bigger balls than anybody I know," he gushed.

The Trejo's Tacos founder brought food to both wounded deputies and their families.

The food was served to the male deputy and his family several weeks ago, Trejo says.

He says he couldn't feed Apolinar and her family sooner because the deputy, who was wounded in the face and suffered jaw and mouth injuries during the shooting, could not eat it. Trejo says she is doing well.
