Indianapolis Colts center Ryan Kelly will wear cleats honoring a fallen Hamilton County, OH, deputy Sunday when he plays against the Houston Texans.
The cleats honoring Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Corporal Adam McMillan are part of the NFL’s My Cause My Cleats program, a program that allows players to opportunity to support a cause close to them with custom-designed cleats.
Kelly chose to work with Concerns of Police Survivors, which helps out the surviving families and co-workers affected by line-of-duty deaths, WLWT reports. Kelly is from Cincinnati, which is why he chose the Ohio deputy.
McMillan was a 19-year veteran with the Hamilton County SO. He died at the age of 42 on Oct. 23, two weeks after he was involved in a five-vehicle crash.
