A Nampa, ID, officer was stabbed in the face during a traffic stop Friday afternoon. The suspect was shot and killed by another officer.
At approximately 3:07 p.m. on Friday, a Nampa officer conducted a traffic stop near a Family Dollar store. During the stop, one officer got in a fight with the passenger of the vehicle and was stabbed in the face by the man, according to Nampa Chief of Police Joe Huff.
Officials said the other officer fired his weapon, which struck the adult male suspect. The wounded suspect received medical assistance on the scene but was later pronounced dead, KTVB reports.
The wounded officer was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
