FBI Asks for Help Identifying Suspect in Officer's Murder During Capitol Riot

The FBI is seeking the public's help in identifying a man who is a suspect in the murder of U.S. Capitol Police Officer Brian Sicknick during the riot at the Capitol Jan. 6.

An image released by the FBI shows a man in a plaid jacket with a blue knit cap wielding a fire extinguisher during the incident where the officer was reportedly dragged into the crowd. There are reports that the officer died shortly after being hit with a fire extinguisher.

“(Sicknick) returned to his division office and collapsed,” the Capitol Police said in the statement Friday Jan. 7. “He was taken to a local hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.”
