Two Dallas police officers responding to a shooting call were shot outside of a home where officers later found a man and a woman dead inside, police say.
The officers were in stable condition after being taken to a hospital, Chief Eddie Garcia told the Dallas News.
Garcia said the officers were responding to a shooting call around 11 a.m.
A few hours later, the SWAT team was able to get into the home and found one male and one female dead inside the home, WFAA reports.
Dallas Police Association president Mike Mata said the two officers were shot in the lower legs. But he could not provide more details about what happened.
