The National Fraternal Order of Police is reporting that at least 45 officers were shot and 11 killed by gunfire in the first two months of 2021.
The FOP tweeted the statistics Monday, also noting that 13 law enforcement officers were shot in 10 "ambush attacks.
On the same day the FOP issued the statistics, Decatur County (GA) Sheriff's Lieutenant Justin Bedwell succumbed to a gunshot wound he suffered during a vehicle pursuit.
