A mother and father on Staten Island are showing gratitude to the New York City officers who saved their baby girl when she stopped breathing.
The parents ran down multiple flights of stairs to the lobby of their apartment building where the father started CPR and the mother ran out to the street to look for help, ABC7 reports.
Officers Michael Kirschhoffer and Greg Carosella, an EMT, were just pulling up. The mother directed them into the lobby.
Officer Carosella took over CPR from the father while his partner called for an ambulance.
Two more officers also arrived, Sergeant Rich Guerrieri and Officer Daniel Del Pino, also an EMT.
Officer Del Pino continued chest compressions and the baby started breathing.
