Two Braintree, MA, police officers were shot while searching for a suspect in a domestic incident in a wooded area Friday. Both officers are expected to survive, while the suspect has died, as well as a police K-9 dog, authorities say.
The suspect, who has not been identified, wounded the officers, according to Norfolk County District Attorney Michael Morrissey. He was expected to hold a news conference about 4:15 p.m.
A law enforcement source told NBC10 Boston that one officer was taken to Boston Medical Center, another to South Shore Hospital. Both have wounds that are considered non-life-threatening.
