A pair of Candler County, GA, sheriff’s deputies rescued two dogs trapped close to a trailer fire late last month.
The dogs had to be freed from a chain and a cage where they were in danger of being killed by the heat.

One deputy singed his head being so close to the fire. Another burned his hands on the hot metal of the cage, WSET reports.
Once the dogs were freed, the two deputies worked with firefighters to put out the blaze.
