A Michigan State Police trooper and a suspect were wounded in a shooting during a traffic stop Wednesday.
The trooper is in stable condition. The shooting suspect is in serious condition.
The shooting happened around 10:30 p.m. in Niles.
The trooper had stopped the driver of a Nissan for failure to stop at a stop sign. After the driver was arrested for a suspended license, the trooper made contact with a passenger, MLive reports.
