IN Vehicle Pursuit Ends with Fatal OIS in Station Parking Lot

Officers reportedly blocked all exits to the department’s parking lot while the woman allegedly drove recklessly and hit several police cars and almost hit officers on foot as she was trying to escape.

A vehicle pursuit involving a DUI suspect and the Greenwood, IN, police ended Tuesday night with police shooting and killing the suspect in the police station parking lot.

The incident began around 11:30 p.m. when Greenwood officers were called to an intersection regarding a possible DUI.

The driver, an adult woman, then drove to the Greenwood Police Department just two miles away as officers pursued, Fox 59 reports.

After several minutes of trying to get her to stop, multiple officers fired their weapons hitting and killing the woman, WISH reports.

Body camera and surveillance video footage are both being reviewed by investigators.
