NJ Officers Jump in River to Rescue Woman from Sinking Car

Officials say the car went off Freedom Pier, a fishing spot in Gloucester City, and plunged into the river just after 1 p.m.

Three Camden County, NJ, police officers helped rescue a woman after her car went into the Delaware River Thursday afternoon.

Officials say the car went off Freedom Pier, a fishing spot in Gloucester City, and plunged into the river just after 1 p.m., WPVI reports.

The officers and the female victim were transported to a nearby floating dock by three Good Samaritans who were passing by in a boat.
