Tampa (FL) Police officers responded to rescue a man who jumped from the Howard Frankland Bridge into Old Tampa Bay yesterday.

Police report the man tied rocks to his waist Sunday and jumped in. Patrol officers responded to the bridge and threw the man a rope so he could stay afloat. The police department posted video of the rescue filmed from a police helicopter.

 A Florida Fish and Wildlife boat arrived on scene and pulled the jumper from the water. Tampa Fire Rescue also had personnel in the water to aid in the rescue. The investigation is ongoing.
