Police said officers first responded to the scene for an unknown trouble and heard gunshots in the area.

Officers reported that an armed person then exited an apartment building and begin firing at them. The officers then shot back and hit the suspect. The suspect was pronounced dead at the scene, Fox5 reports.
One of the officers involved in the incident was shot. Police said the officer was taken to an area hospital. No condition for the officer was reported.
