A suspect wanted for shooting a Nashville-area police officer during a Monday night pursuit was killed in an exchange of fire with Kentucky State Police in Louisville Tuesday.
Samuel Quinton Edwards, 34, was wanted in connection to a shooting injuring a police officer in Hendersonville, Tennessee. Hendersonville Officer Cameron Ferrell was reportedly hit once during the attack. He was treated at a local hospital and released, WSMV reports.
Following a pursuit Tuesday night around 8 p.m. on Dixie Highway in Louisville, police said a shootout occurred between Edwards and Kentucky State Police with Edwards being killed.
