IN Cop Applies Tourniquet to Save Trapped Crash Victim

A police officer in Indiana is being credited with saving a woman’s life through his prompt actions when she tore an artery in a vehicle accident Wednesday.

Anderson police responded to a motor vehicle accident and arrived to find a woman trapped in her vehicle and bleeding badly. Officer Tyler McKeon acted quickly and placed a tourniquet on the trapped woman’s arm, reports FOX59 .

“She would have bled out at the scene if it were not for Officer McKeon’s swift reaction and response to what could have been a fatal situation,” says Joni Brinkman, Community Hospital Emergency Department director, in a press release.
