An Arcadia, CA, police officer who was shot in the face during an Aug. 10 call that resulted in a standoff was greeted with a hero’s welcome Thursday as he exited Huntington Hospital.

Officer Kevin Manley was greeted by fellow officers, friends, and family after being discharged following two surgeries.

He was shot in the face while responding to a family disturbance in which a gunman fired on his mother, a neighbor, and the officer.  When police arrived on scene, they spoke to two victims outside that house.

At that time two gunshots were heard coming from inside the house, reports FOX11. As officers approached the house, a gunman opened fire at five officers, hitting Manley in the face.
