MI State Police Helicopter Aids in Pursuit of 150 MPH Hellcat

When the Grand Blanc Township Police Department (MI) tried to stop several vehicles drag racing on Interstate 475, one was a little harder to catch. At least that seemed to be the case until a Michigan State Police (MSP) helicopter responded to assist.
“Our officer attempted to stop the vehicles, at which time this Dodge Challenger Hellcat fled at speeds estimated near 150 mph,” Grand Blanc Police Department tells NEWS10.
When the MSP responded Thursday it almost immediately located and followed the fleeing Hellcat. The aviation asset followed the car through the City of Flint and then directed ground units to its area. The 23-year-old driver was arrested and charged with felony fleeing and eluding.
