The Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) released body-worn camera footage of when an officer deployed his taser earlier this week to stop a man brandishing two swords and advancing on officers.
Tuesday evening, officers patrolling the Wilshire area were dispatched to the report of a man armed with a sword. Once on scene, officers found the man was armed with two swords.

The suspect did not comply with repeated commands to drop the sword. The video shows an officer deploy his taser as the man advances with two swords pointed forward at the officer.
Once the man fell to the ground; he released one sword but maintained possession of a second sword. Officers continued with commands to drop the sword and eventually took the man into custody.
Nearby, officers located a victim who had sustained several stab wounds. They immediately rendered aid until paramedics arrived.
Police report the stabbing victim was transported in stable condition.
