A Harper County, OK, deputy sheriff was shot Thanksgiving morning while responding to a call that reported a man armed with a shotgun.
At around 6:30 a.m., deputies responded to an address where a man attempted to enter the location armed with a shotgun, according to the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation.
The man left on foot and deputies encountered him at a nearby intersection. He fired on the deputies, striking one. Deputies returned fire on the subject, reports KOKO News .
