Memphis Officer Critical After Being Shot
According to the Memphis Police Department, the officer was taken to Regional One Hospital in extremely critical condition. The other individual was pronounced dead at the scene.
A Memphis, TN, police officer is in critical condition after being shot earlier today. The incident, now being investigated by the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, left another man dead.

The incident started around noon when police responded to a trespassing call at a nearby business, Keli McAlister, of the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, tells WREG.
The same man was later confronted by two officers at the nearby library. That’s when he produced a weapon and fired at one of the officers. The other officer returned fire, killing the man, McAlister explains.
