The Model 101 Foldaway is constructed as a rectangular piece of full-grain leather with dual 1.5-inch belt slots, leather lining and exterior stitching detail. The user may slide the holster onto the belt loop in the desired location on the hip.

San Jose Cuts 9% of Police Force
After months of talk of possible layoffs, the San Jose (Calif.) Police Department learned today the force would lose 9% of its sworn officers in a city cost-cutting move. The agency will send lay-off notices to 106 officers and an additional 20 cops may soon be demoted.

Dodgers Choose Former LAPD Capt. As Security Chief
The Los Angeles Dodgers have chosen former LAPD Capt. Rich Wemmer as security chief. Wemmer was a commanding officer for the Rampart and Northeast patrol divisions and training divisions, as well as the Van Nuys, West Los Angeles and Wilshire-area stations.

LAPD Field-Tests Electric Bicycles for Patrol
Officers with the LAPD's bicycle unit will begin field-testing Currie Technologies' IZIP Express electric bicycles at special events to determine their viability for patrol. Currie supplied the unit with prototype models for initial evaluation a year ago. The company then modified the electric bicycle's components and design, incorporating feedback from officers.
