The Brooklyn man who who killed an NYPD officer Monday in a head-on wrong-way collision had a blood-alcohol level of 0.25 when he struck the officer's vehicle, reports the New York Daily News.
Officer Andre Menzies, who was driving home from a shift at 12:05 a.m., was killed instantly when he was hit by Michael Bowen's Ford van. The blood-alcohol content of Bowen, who suffered only minor injuries, was more than three times the legal limit.
