Wisconsin Officer Injured in Vehicle Collision

An officer with the Franklin (WI) Police Department was injured in a vehicle collision with a civilian driver on Thursday afternoon.

According to CBS News , the officer and the civilian driver—a 22-year-old man whose name has not been released—were examined at the scene.

The officer was subsequently transported to a nearby hospital for treatment of minor injuries while the civilian driver was released from the scene.

The Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office is conducting the crash investigation.
