Wisconsin Man Charged with Bomb Threat on Police Department

A Wisconsin man was arrested Monday morning and charged with threatening to bomb the La Crosse Police Department on Sunday evening.

According to the La Crosse Tribune , the man—identified as 25-year-old Jared Cooper—reportedly called the department and said, "There is a bomb in your building. Everyone will die. Every single police officer, you’re all dead."

Police were able to trace the origin of the phone call and executed a warrant in the early hours of Monday morning.

During his arrest, Cooper admitted to having consumed alcohol and marijuana before placing the call, reportedly adding, "Yeah, it was stupid."
