Wisconsin Firefighter Killed, Police Officer Wounded in Shooting

A firefighter is dead and a police officer was wounded when gunfire broke out during a call for assistance at a transit center in Appleton, Wisconsin, on Wednesday. A third person was also shot in the incident.

According to the Post Crescent , responders were called to assist a person in need of medical assistance at the transit center when suddenly shots were fired.

Appleton firefighter Mitchell F. Lundgaard was killed. The suspect was also killed.

The name and condition of the wounded officer has not been released

Green Bay police will investigate the shooting.
