The wife of an Officer with the Orlando Police Department has filed a lawsuit against a number of parties she believes is at least partially culpable for the severe wounds her husband sustained in an incident in June 2018.
According to the Orlando Sentinel , Meghan Valencia—the wife of Orlando Police Officer Kevin Valencia—is suing the estate of the man who shot her husband as well as the owner of the apartment complex and its management company.
Valencia was shot while responding to a standoff June 1 during which authorities say Lindsey killed his four young children before turning the gun on himself.
Officer Valencia has remained in a coma since the shooting.
