Maureen Faulker—widow of slain Philadelphia Police Officer Daniel Faulkner—is outraged that a judge last week ruled that her husband's killer will get yet another chance to appeal his conviction.
Widow of Slain Officer Outraged Over Cop Killer Mumia's Chance for Appeal
Judge Leon Tucker granted Mumia Abu-Jamal another opportunity to appeal his conviction in the death of Philadelphia Police Officer Daniel Faulkner. Abu-Jamal spent three decades on death row before his sentence in the shooting death of Faulkner was thrown out over flawed jury instructions.

In an interview with Fox News, Faulker said, "Mumia Abu-Jamal shot my husband between the eyes, he executed my husband. I'm never going to let this go. All over the country, they're reducing sentences on murderers, they're allowing them out of prison, and it's wrong."
In 1981, 25-year-old Officer Faulkner stopped the driver of a Volkswagen for driving the wrong way down a one-way street.
A violent confrontation between the driver—Abu-Jamal's brother—and Officer Faulkner. During the struggle, Abu-Jamal opened fire, mortally wounding Faulkner.
Abu-Jamal—a member of the Black Panthers—was convicted of murder and sentenced to death in two separate trials.
