An officer with the Fairfax County (VA) Police Department was responding to a call of disorderly subjects when a pedestrian reportedly walked into an intersection against a "don't walk" signal. The pedestrian was struck and fatally injured.
According to the Washington Post , the officer—identified only as a four-year member of the department—was driving through a green light when he struck 40-year-old Carlos Romeo Montoya in the early hours of Sunday morning.
