Snyder posted a picture of herself and her two-year-old son Malachi with a message opening up about the days after her husband was shot and killed after responding to a disturbance call.

In an emotional post, the widow of slain St. Louis County Police Officer Blake Snyder took to social media to express her gratitude for the community's support since her husband's death.
"It's been 10 days...10 days since my heart was ripped from my chest," Elizabeth Synder says in a moving Facebook post.
Snyder posted a picture of herself and her two-year-old son Malachi with a message opening up about the days after her husband was shot and killed after responding to a disturbance call, KMOV TV reports.
"This pain hasn't subsided, hasn't alleviated, is unbearable and unending. But this child here, he has been the hope in my heartache," she writes.
She says the community support will have an impact on her family for years to come.
"Because of you, Malachi will always know who his father was. Blake will never be forgotten, and Malachi will truly know how much the community loves him and care for him," she wrote.
During Monday night’s county council meeting, St. Louis County Executive Steve Stenger signed an executive order to rename Clydesdale Park in south county to the Officer Blake C. Snyder Memorial Park. This was in response to an online petition that was started last week to rename the park, KTRS reports.
