A Hudson, Wisconsin, police officer narrowly escaped serious injury Monday when a pickup truck smashed into her parked partrol car while she was outside of the vehicle.

The Hudson squad car was rear-ended while the officer was helping a stranded motorist on the Interstate 94 bridge. The crash was reported at 9:24 a.m. Monday on the Hudson Bridge in Washington County.

The state patrol told KTSP TV the squad car’s emergency lights were activated at the time.
