The officers had responded to a 911 call by two teenagers who noticed a woman in the back seat of the Lexus mouthing the words, "Help me." Aaron Arias, 19, and Jamal Harris, 17, followed the Lexus as they spoke to a Kaufman County Sheriff's Officer dispatcher, reports NBC DFW.
The 25-year-old woman was kidnapped on Aug. 22 near Bryan Street after she left a downtown office building.
Officers pulled over the Lexus on U.S. 175, and arrested 37-year-old Charles Atkins Lewis, Jr., who faces aggravated robbery and aggravated kidnapping charges, reports KBMT.
