A prisoner attempted to grab the duty pistol of a Hillsborough County (Fla.) Sheriff's deputy before a court hearing Tuesday, but was quickly subdued by two other deputies.
Robert Lewis Bridges III, 24, now faces two additional felony charges for lunging at Master Sgt. Tracey Wallace's pistol. The deputy, an 18-year veteran, later told investigators she had noticed Bridges eyeing her duty belt, reports NBC Miami .
Bridges grabbed the deputy's holstered gun with two hands but she was able to keep him from taking the gun. Two other deputies helped restrain Bridges.
