Video: Ohio Officer TASERs Knife-Wielding Murder Suspect

The Bratenahl, Ohio, Police have released body camera video showing them chasing a murder suspect. The chase took over an hour and ended in Lake Erie.
That’s when Bratenahl police, along with Cleveland Metroparks Rangers, would take into custody Jeffery Conrad. Conrad is charged with the aggravated murder of Amanda Russell of Cuyahoga Falls, ABC 5 reports.
Conrad's arrest was captured on Officer Robert Pitts' body camera. The video shows Conrad standing waist-deep in the lake encouraging officers to shoot him while holding his 12-inch knife. “He backed into the water and he had seen that he was surrounded,” Pitts said. “He was trying to play suicide by cop,” he continued. Pitts then switched his pistol to a Taser so it wouldn’t be lethal. “I chose that I wasn’t going to provide him that opportunity,” Pitts said.
